All Nippon Airways will be replacing all 4 of their Boeing 747 planes which includes the beloved "Pikachu Jumbo Jet".

There goes my childhood...

The Pikachu Jumbo Jet was first introduced in 2004 and flew primarily between Tokyo and Osaka.

The Boeing 747s will be replaced with cheaper middle sized aircrafts due to the sudden spike in fuel costs. Alas, Pikachu will cease to fly as of September.

  1. This shows how much Japan love their unique creations. I've always heard people mocking other people with what they want especially something related to anime. But Japan is quite different, they generally respect each others likeness and support each others likes. Anime may just be for kids as what others say, but was it really the case? :) I guess it's for all ages!

    1. Yes, since pokemon is about 15 years old, it really does cater for a broad audience... I wish I had a chance to ride on it myself...
