Japan Manga News: Weekly Shonen Jump Magazine goes digital in Japan

The popular Weekly Shonen Jump will begin digital distributing their magazine for Japanese iOS devices from their 33rd issue, coinciding with the 45th anniversary of Shonen Jump.

The announcement came as a surprise to all as no prior advertisements were made by Shuiesha (the publisher of Shonen Jump).

Available for 300 yen for Japanese iOs devices, the digital copy will exclusively feature all-color versions of popular staple franchises of JUMP such as One Piece, NARUTO, Kuroko's Basketball, Ansatsu Kyōshitsu, and the 2007 Dragonball and One Piece crossover.

The 33rd issue of Jump will also feature the debut of Akira Toriyama's highly anticipated new manga series Jaco the Galactic Patrolman.
